Social Justice Warrior reactions
England is my second home, my wife is British and we lived there for 11 years, I love it there........and I (and my wife) are very happy with this vote. I was living in England when the present EU was implemented, and the first thing the British Government did was send Neil Kinnock to Brussels he to be the head of the UK delegation. Kinnock was the former Labour party leader and had lost two straight General elections, to Maggie Thatcher. First thing my wife said was something to the effect that we didn't want him to lead our country as Prime Minister what the hell makes them think we want him running our country in the EU! That was the problem, how can you be a democracy when the guys ( and ladies) you send to make the decisions are appointed , not electedBecause many people in The UK want to control their borders and hence stop unabated immigration, they are called xenophobic. What BS, they don't want their country overrun with cheap labor, people who won't assimilate and need to be on "the dole" the second they hit UK soil (or soon after). What citizen of a country wouldn't want that, at least a sane one not looking to pander for votes.
Glad they left and can't wait to see all the fear mongering clowns proven wrong. They were run by unelected globalist shit hooks who would sacrifice ever fiber of a national identity for some one world open borders utopia......except it hasn't ever existed nor will it. I suspect many people that voted to stay let the fear mongering get the best of them.
Well that was the most ironically racist thing I've ever read.
Interesting take, UK.
Wow! What a last couple on days of facebook. Worked with a lot of Britons and they are absolutely devastated by this vote. Only one in about twenty that posted in favour of the decision. A few posts....
-- From FT reader: “The younger generation has lost the right to live and work in 27 other countries. We will never know the full extent of lost opportunities, friendships, marriages and experiences we will be denied. Freedom of movement was taken away by our parents, uncles and grandparents in a parting blow to a generation that was already drowning in the debts of its predecessors.” --
-- Please world, remember that 16,141,241 of us voted against this. --
-- White working class, f****d by tory cuts, looking for someone to blame and Farage gave them the answer. Thank you for this referendum, Cameron. --
-- I'm finding it a little bit strange how the people who voted remain full on feel the need to explain why they did so, whereas the people who chose to compromise our future are very reticent about sharing their views.... --
-- Very sad times for our country and its people. Should never ever have come to this. To face a future with the prospect of Ukip on the rise, foreign investment pulled, borders closed and hostility and hatred allowed to flourish. To teach the next generation intolerance instead of embracing diversity. Unbelievably sad day.--
-- Despair and disillusionment has now given way to an intense anger. . My school friends and I grew up a part of Europe and all that gave to us. A sense of belonging, of opportunities.. I'm really furious that a bunch (an annoyingly big bunch) of small minded people can take that away from us. --
-- There seems to be a great deal of hard feelings about the result of the referendum, and the losers have begun to insult the British white working class, who seem to have swing it, by calling them stupid, racist xenophobe, etc etc. Even my 8 year old niece was verbally attacked because her parents voted for Brexit. What kind of parents are those that spout this kind of behaviour in their own kids? How does this even get into the playground. Remainers, those consuming sour grapes at the moment. Quit the hissy fits, stop insulting the Brexiteers because their education levels are not the same as yours, or because you refuse to think that someone can have a different view than yours- your sound like those elitist pricks in Westminster that have just been sent a strong message. Grow up and move forwards with your lives. No one likes a sore loser. --
They should try a sit in.
I assume most of your friends were Bernie supporters?Interesting take, UK.

Reading reactions on Reddit, it does seem that there is a fair amount of Britons working in other countries. One said that essentially his whole life was in Germany, but he is British, and he was attempting to obtain an Irish passport so he could continue on with his job.
The reverse, Poles in particular, coming to work in Britain seems to be as much of an issue as anything about the refugee situation.
As for the one whining about not being able to work outside of England...was that really a thing anyway? Spain, France, Greece etc hiring tons of young Britis?
I never said it was "just about that. But I think it is obvious that the biggest motivation for the leave voters is unfettered immigration.Who in the hell suggested this was just about Brits traveling and working anywhere?
Well that was the most ironically racist thing I've ever read.
Seems to be a reoccurring pattern from the "tolerant and pro-women" left. This just happened (she's Canadian).
The left ignored below too. This whole "giving people a pass" thing ---- IE different standards --- it's all part of the soft bigotry of low expectations.
She was asking for it.
Hey now, my wife is a Tri-Delt.Tri-delts always get what's coming to 'em.
Hey now, my wife is a Tri-Delt.
Let me speak as someone who has grown up around old farmers. I'll take their ideas any day of the week over someone who lives in the concrete, drunken, secular world that is London.
Why is diversity so great? I have nothing against anyone on the micro level. Every human being on earth deserves a chance to earn or lose your respect. But why on earth would anyone who has any kind of education think 650,000 Muslims that basically come through a time machine portal as they leave Syria and enter Britain would be a good thing? They hate you. They want to change you. They reject every progressive thought you have, but because they are brown (which is all a liberal can see) we need to let them ruin our countries and fundamentally change our fabric.
Not one bit of hate or racism or xenophobia is felt when typing that.
