A turning point last night

One of the all too familiar turning points last night was during the last couple minutes stretch. OSU was up by 2 and had a chance to run a play, run some clock and try an extend the lead. We went down and passed the ball around like we were just interested in running some clock. Then the ball gets back out to Hickey with about 10 seconds to go on the shot clock and he wastes another 7 dribbling and then dribbles up and jacks up a very deep 2, which of course misses.

This series is all too familiar deep into games, especially in close games. This was a critical possession late in the game. Not only is every possession important versus quality teams like Iowa State but it was essentially the turning point, because Iowa State went down on the other end and hit a 3 to take the lead.

Do anything but jack up an ill advised last second shot! Literally anything but that. Try and get a foul. Try and get some type of decent shot off. This is a trend that has happened throughout Ford's tenure. It has nothing to do with the talent or the pieces in place. This disturbing trend is on coaching and coaching in close games. blah.
