Obviously a great, great win.
Unsung hero........Raymond Taylor...........he brings a different ability / mentality to our run game. I know he didn't run for a lot of yards but unlike the other rbs, he refuses to go down which causes the defense to really have to gang up on him. He had two runs in the game where the whistle blew just as he had broke a tackle, both times he would have been off to the races. Opposing DC's can see his style and have to realize that if you half tackle him he will break free.
Patterson thought enough of our run game ( which even though statistically don't count, I think you can include those flip passes) that he felt he needed to play his safeties up a little which opened up out deep passing game
Defense showed today what I thought going into the season was its strength..........depth........they were just as good after 110 plays as they were early.
It was nice to see Colt Waltersheid back, it was just ( I don;t mean that as irrelevant) a ST tackle, but a good sign.......we have some incredibly talented young defensive linemen
Hope the coaches really drill into the guys what happened in 2011 at ISU, this defines "trap game" , but this group seems pretty in tune with things
