Fridays hunt. Just a couple Mallard and a Bufflehead. Really shows you the different sizes of ducks. wind was blowing about 30mph.
Saturday's hunt. Redheads, mallards, Buffleheads, Blue bill, Merganser.
Gunnar and his ducks. Redheads, Bufflehead, Blue Bill. I left at 8:15. YOu can start shooting here in Minnesota 30 minutes before Sunrise. So that was 7:00. Not a bad morning for an hour and 15 minutes.
Ducks are starting to migrate. Lots of geese moving south. Still a few woodducks around most teal are gone. Temperature this weekend was lows around 40 and highs mid 50's. First cold spell of the fall, so the ducks were really active. A little too windy though, Wind speed 15-25 with gusts up to 30. When the wind was quiet around 10-15 the birds were really active. Had fun and can't wait to get back up to the lake and shoot some more.
