A female perspective

Pointing out distinctions isn't selling rage, but if you want to argue, I'm down.

Making up false dichotomies about the “enemy” and exaggerating/outright making up positions of the “enemy” is selling rage.

I’m not interested in arguing.

Let’s be honest though...nobody in politics...or here, frankly...is really interested in having rational, reasonable policy discussions or looking for room for cooperation or compromise.

It’s all 100% if you don’t agree with me you’re the enemy and an existential threat to the American way of life. It’s all about demonizing anyone that’s not on your team. Everybody....everywhere...in politics are simply and solely about manufacturing and selling outrage.

It is what it is. I’ve become bored with it frankly.

“See something say something unless it’s Hollywood, The Catholic Church or a Muslim Training Camp.”

Let’s ignore that it was Democrat leftie and former Obama administration adviser Ronan Farrow that broke the Weinstein story wide open in The New Yorker. Let’s ignore that The Catholic Church’s positions on abortion, LGBTQ marriage, and women serving in positions of pastoral authority are about as conservative as you can get. Let’s ignore that the charges in NM were dismissed because of a hard and fast law in NM requires probable cause be established by hearing within 10 days of filing AND the DA is going to go before the Grand Jury to fix their screw up. Let’s ignore that the judge’s were following the due process requirements under the law. Instead....yeah let’s try to hang all of this on the Dems.

Just the facts. Just pointing out “distinctions”. Not selling manufactured outrage whatsoever.

"Now there you go again...." trying to confuse folks with the facts......:p

those are all great observations, but I would be betting that the elephant in the room is not going to be mentioned. Surrounded by bias, the left has a bigger amplifier (the media) to join in and state their case. I'm sure that the 2 who broke the story on that fat pig knew it was a bigger story than the mindless crap they've been putting out all their lives. That was their ticket to stardom, or so they thought. You brought up some logical points/examples, but unfortunately nothing but a few ripples in the stream. No sign of a trend here unfortunately. I don't believe it is all or nothing...I'm thinking people are getting tired of all this nonsense but it's not going away anytime soon. And, it looks like they maneuvered enough to fix that cluster situation in NM.

We’re talking about whether or not the OP is “selling outrage” or just pointing out facts and distinctions between the parties.

She’s selling outrage. She is ignoring or mischaracterizing to generate outrage against the left. And even when I point out the obvious micharacterizations which you say are good points....you still kinda buy into the outrage with your....”but the media” and discounting the victims and Ronan Farrow by suggesting they are just using #MeToo as their new vehicle to stardom. That’s ridiculous and just another example of demonizing or marginalizing those who aren’t on a team.

With the massive proliferation of alternate, internet and social media based news, I call BS on the whole “media amplifier” theory and “media bias” claims. There is no distinction between MSM and alt-media anymore. People get their information just as much, if not more, from those sources as the MSM.
