And found to be very convincing. It has been prolific in my fundamental understanding of philosophy and historical perspective. In spite of this review I still feel that way. The parallels between the rise of Nazism and America today seem to me to be more apparent than ever. Has anybody else read the book? What do you think? I’m sure I still have sitting on a bookshelf somewhere. I may have to read it again.

Forty years ago, I reviewed Leonard Peikoff’s Ominous Parallels very negatively, and with one exception, of which the less said, the better, this proved to be the most controversial review I have ever written. Perhaps it is time for a second look.
