I know a few posters will immediately dismiss this article, but the reporting in this article is very interesting regarding the environment at the White House right now. A lot of leaks coming from concerned staffers. Below is the link. Here are two quotes.

"Mr. Trump’s appetite for chaos, coupled with his disregard for the self-protective conventions of the presidency, have left his staff confused and squabbling. And his own mood, according to two advisers who spoke on the condition of anonymity, has become sour and dark, turning against most of his aides — even his son-in-law, Jared Kushner — and describing them in a fury as “incompetent,” according to one of those advisers."

"There is a fear among some of Mr. Trump’s senior advisers about leaving him alone in meetings with foreign leaders out of concern he might speak out of turn. General McMaster, in particular, has tried to insert caveats or gentle corrections into conversations when he believes the president is straying off topic or onto boggy diplomatic ground."

Lol. I would be sorely disappointed if there was relative calm around this White House. I voted for Donald Trump to raise hell with the establishment, to cooperate with the Russians in defeating Islamic terrorism here and abroad. I hope for just such an atmosphere for the next eight years. If the establishment is not as mad as a busted nest of hornets, then I'm worried.

President Trump needs to speed up the process of draining the swamp. There needs to be about 5 to 10 firings every day. If I don't hear left-wing and establishment screeching it is a horrible day for me.

The article was about Trump's White House. The chaos occurring among his own staffers. It wasn't an article about the establishment.

So now, if Trump fires his own staff members, this is going to be considered "draining the swamp"?? When his own staff members are leaking negative information about him, that is just Trump fighting the establishment?

Quick, what day of the besiege? We need a headline with that info, STAT.

I'm not dismissing it entirely because Trump does seem like a chaos manager in style.

The tone of the article is a bit overblown and melodramatic for my tastes though.

I anticipated every bit of this and said so on this board last year when I said the establishment will surely seek to impeach president Trump sooner rather than later during his presidency. Me and a lot of other people also anticipated the "Besieged Whitehouse" scenario would also be pushed fervently. They haven't let us down one bit. I had hoped we might see some original creativity out of the deep state during this but we haven't yet.

So again, Trump's own staff is now part of the establishment? They are the deep state? He is going to have to fire his own staff in order to clean the swamp?

It sounds like the only person you trust or believe in is Trump.

I believe that good things will happen as result of this presidency. Sounds like you have a lot of questions you need to answer for yourself.

Good luck with that.

Just be glad you aren't on his staff.
I couldn't care less about anyone on his staff who is overly worried about their own position in government. Those kind of people need to seek employment elsewhere. And they know who they are.

More anonymous sources. I guess noone in DC actually has the gonads to stand up and represent themselves.

Well, when one works for Trump and is leaking . . . makes sense one would remain anonymous.

Leaks are a political reality. Trump's White House is a mess right now, which only increases the amount of leaks.
