8.6% Bidenflation

Biden keeps blaming Putin for his failures without realizing he is admitting Putin is kicking his ass. Sadly instead of Biden suffering the consequences of his failure it's the younger part of the middleclass bearing the brunt of it.
The middle class has always bared the brunt of politicians failures to lead. Sleepy just brought this to light so far in his comically and extremely inept administration. Sleepy's whining and ability to blame all others just doesn't fly even with the chuckleheads who voted for him. He needs to do a header splat on the tarmac imo. Let them vinegar smellin crusty snatches harris and pelosi clean it up. My humble opinion. MAGA!

Yea I find it hard to believe inflation is only 8.6% when I see all the double digit increase in all the different categories. Surely the government wouldn't lie to us would they? LOL.
This is because the way the housing is calculated now (vs. in the Reagan years) backloads its impact significantly and artificially pulls the number down. If this were the prior CPI calculation method, you would actually see a 10-12% CPI number being reported. Home prices are up 20% (per Schiller) each of the past 2 years, yet CPI only registers (so far) a 5-6% total impact. It was .6 this month which was its highest increase yet. But even as we hit a recession, that number won't be going back down because it has so much 'catching up to do'.

The other topic I'm getting tired of hearing about in regards to inflation is how prices will eventually come back down. Inflation is a measure of how much prices CHANGED over the period. For prices to go down, would require deflation, and that just isn't going to happen. A recession and the Fed may eventually bring inflation to a reasonable number (2%), but that would just indicate the end of the prices continuing to rise unsustainably. The prices are never going back to what they were, and any media (or government spokesperson) who states otherwise is either misleadingly ignorant or flat lying to you.
