6A State starts tomorrow

Fix is an absolute phenom but he is wearing me out lately with his 'wait for guys to get set then put them on their feet'. That lack of respect for his oppenets will eventually catch up with him, maybe not in high school but later down the road

I understand what you are saying, but pinning your opponent in 30 seconds doesn't get you much mat time. He will change in 2 years when he has to. Off the mat, he is the most humble teenager I know.

'wait for guys to get set then put them on their feet': What does that mean?

Starting neutral wears you out?
Nothing cocky about that at all...

The way you phrased it I thought he was picking them up of the mat to their feet and letting them go. Lol

No, but if you KNOW you're going to pick neutral, but you intentionally let the guy get down and get set before you tell the ref you're going neutral, it's a douche move.

If it doesn't stress the opponent (we agree it doesn't), or give you any type of advantage (it doesn't), then why do it. The only really possible answer is to be a douche.

It's not showing him up, it's not disrespecting him, it's not bullying, he's not staging an international protest, and there are surely way worse things he could do to people. And even if it's douchy, it's lower level douche status. No doubt.

But...really??? If it doesn't gain you any advantage at all, just beat the kid and quit worrying about silly head games.

I agree, if you are way better than what's the point, if it's a guy that can wrestle with Daton I don't think you are getting in his head.

This is on Fox Sports Go for those out of state. I missed the Fix match. gfeller from heritage hall in OKC won by tech fall in first period. Sheets wrestling now- down 2-1 starting second period
