Applications are now open for the 2019 Wrestling for Life $250 wrestling camp scholarships. The scholarships are open to wrestlers in grades 6-8.
The Logan Luft Wrestling Camp Scholarship is open to all wrestlers in those grades. The Mike Duroe Girls Wrestling Camp Scholarship is open to female wrestlers only. The Bill Bails Wrestling Camp Scholarship is open to wrestlers with 2 years or less competitive experience.
The selections for these three will be based on academic achievement (50%), wrestling accomplishments (40%) and community involvement (10%).
This year we are adding another scholarship in memory of Wrestling for Life founding board member, Brian Stutzman. In addition to sitting on our board, Brian was the executive director of YPN and an active participant in many other organizations in the Cedar Rapids area. As with the others, this $250 scholarship is available to any wrestler in grades 6-8. However, the selection for this will be based ENTIRELY on the youngster's community involvement.
