Figured I could keep this updated as Boynton fills in the last few slots.
Guards:
1. Thomas Dziagwa, JR
2. Curtis Jones, JR
3. Michael Weathers, SO
4. Mike Cunningham, SR
-Spot- (Ramey/Harris/Likekele)
At the minimum, one more point guard is needed. Hopefully Ramey joins that list soon. Cunningham from USC Upstate doesn't seem to be a true point guard, but he would add a much needed experienced ball handler. I think if they get either, it's easily at least a wash for losing Averette. Amir Harris seems to be a backup to Ramey and I also don't know how much mutual interest there is, anyways. Has there been any rumblings about him other than he was offered?
Wing(s):
5. Lindy Waters, JR
-Spot- (Chang?)
Need a couple of players here. I think Ehab Amin is about as perfect a fit as there is on the grad market. His junior year at A&M-CC, which is in the same conference as Stephen F. Austin, he averaged 16.9, 6.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists and 3.4 steals. But, assuming his injury doesn't limit him, I have to think he can play in the big XII. Boynton recently offered Ed Chang. Robert Braswell was a name heard a while back, but not much about him lately. Others I'm missing?
Posts:
6. Cameron McGriff, JR
7. Lucas N'Guessan, JR
8. Yor Anei, FR
9. Duncan Demuth, FR
10. Kentrevious Jones, FR
-Spot- (Walker?)
First off, when was the last time OSU brought in 3 freshman big men in one class. When was the last time at any point we had more post players on scholarship than perimeter players? Ideally one more experienced big man to pair with McGriff. Between N'Guessan and the three freshman, very little experience in the front court. Now that Jones is signed (correct?), Wyatt Walker seems to be the obvious choice. If that doesn't work out, who else is out there? I would doubt they'd use the scholarship on a 4th freshman big man.
