KU - they lose Mason, Jackson, and Lucas. Lucas is replaceable but the other two are different. Mason has been so good the last two years. And Jackson is a next level talent. They will still be really good next year and probably the class of the conference again.
BU - they lose Wainright for sure. Their future will depend alot on whether Motley decides to go pro (i have a feeling he will). If so, they will still bring back a good core and they have recruited well. So, they should still be in the top 4-6 of the conference because Lecomte is a stud.
WVU - Only lose Adrian and Phillip. If Carter decides to go pro they could take a big step back because he is their best player. If he stays, they will compete for the top 3 spots in the conference again.
ISU - They lose Morris, Mitrou-Long, Thomas, and Burton. They also lose Bowie, so 5 of their top 6 scorers. They are going to take a major step back next year. Major.
KSU - they lose Iwundu and DJ Johnson. Weber will still be their coach. They will be about the same in the best case but probably worse.
TCU - they don't really lose anyone. They will be alot better next year IMO. I think they challenge for the top 5 in the conference and make life difficult for everyone. IMO, they lack some physicality though which I think might hold them back in 2017-18. Honestly, they are pretty young. They will be better next year and they will keep getting better IMO.
TTU - they lose some and keep some. They won't be materially different next year based on what I know and see.
OU - I actually think OU takes a big step forward next year. I expect them to be in the top 4 of the conference. They are very young overall and are adding an elite player in Trae. They will be very difficult next year. However, because Lon will still be the coach, they will still be very undisciplined on offense and will lose games because of it. So, I doubt they win the conference.
UT - as long as Shaka is their guy they will shoot themselves out of games. Streetball doesn't win much in college basketball. The only reason they won games this year is because Allen is really freaking good inside. If he stays with his decision to go pro, they will be in the cellar of the conference again.
So, where does that leave us. IMO, if we keep Jawun and Jeff in the fold, we have a shot to compete in the top 5 with KU, WVU, BU, and probably OU and TCU. Depending on injuries I think we can finish in the middle of the conference next year and maybe in the top 1-3 if a few things go our way. But if we lose Jawun and Jeff, Boynton will have his work cut out for him in a big way.
