OSU is 9-0 for just the third time ever. The first was 1945 and I doubt many on the board were alive then, and those who were probably weren't old enough to remember much about the '45 football season.
So my question is this - has it been more fun, or interesting to watch things unfold in the 2015 season than 2011?
I can see an argument for that. In 2011, expectations were sky-high and the Cowboys delivered through 9 games, frequently blowing teams out. In 2015 expectations were very moderate. 7-9 wins was typically the expectation of most anyone that follows OSU football. The team everyone saw yesterday did not exist yet on September 3 in Mount Pleasant, MI. The pieces were there of course, but it took every bit of the 7 games in between to produce yesterday's result - which by the way was the largest margin for OSU in a conference game, not counting KU. Who would have predicted that? Though sometimes mystifying and frustrating to watch some of those games, looking back it's very interesting to note the development.
I can see the rest of the season being more interesting/fun than 2011 as well, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
Just some thoughts on Sunday afternoon.
