I have two great-nephews (11 and 7) who play organized baseball. First, they are playing this time of year which is strange. They also play September thru June but no July or August due to the heat. Hell, when I was their age, we only played during the summer. Their city has no Little League, only select teams. Due to the rain, they have had to play up to 5 games in one day. The 11 year old had to pitch 3 of 5 games a weekend ago and complained of arm and shoulder pain. Unlike organized Little League, there is no pitch count for kids their ages. And they want to know why kids get burned out.
