She's a skillful politician, and yesterday was a masterful performance -- no doubt. Gotta call a spade a spade on that.

I'm you mean besides the fact that she's continually lied about multiple facets of the whole affair? The fact that it was proven this week that she told her daughter and the Egyptian PM hours after the attack that the video had nothing to with the attack but then continued to spread that garbage for days?

davidallen - several points on your point:
- There is no doubt that many of the Republicans were hoping to use this to derail Hillary's Presidential hopes
- So? Hasn't she demonstrated through her actions, her lying, her obstruction that she deserves to be derailed?
- I also believe there were members of the GOP who were sincere in wanting to really figure out what happened and why in Benghazi. There wouldn't have been so many hearings if Hillary hadn't lied about her e-mails to begin with and if she hadn't made the stupid decision to use only a private e-mail server for official business.
- It is pretty tough to make something a campaign killer on HRC when 90% of the MSM has got her back like the praetorian guard.
- Some of the sound bites and video from these hearings may prove a lot more damaging to her in the long run than you or I can fathom tight now.

Big mistake by the GOP to bring Hillary in to testify at this time. Even if she did poorly it would have given the Dems time to find a plan B or nearly a year until the general election to rehab HRC's image. Optimal strategy would have been to draw it out as long as possible and hope that enough people associate all the smoke with fire.
I am not an HRC fan - she won't get my vote.
Those who sincerely want to understand what happened know and have known for some time what transpired. Current hearings are political - and obviously so - doing as much harm to the Republcans as HRC.
Just another example of the reactive right - rather than lead on any particular issue they are fighting last year(s) battles: ACA, marriage equality, Benghazi, et al.

The GOP really needs to keep pounding on Benghazi. Outside of the right wing echo chamber nobody cares - it pales to 911 and the obvious attempted politicization of it has blown up in republicans' faces. They cry "Wolf!" so much that the rest of the world didn't salute this latest conspiracy theory. Then they get their hearings and screw it up.

To my eye she was stress free and now has a rally point/example to point to on what is wrong in the Republican party today.
This will be her rally point for fundraising and getting her base out on the streets:

The response being: HRC and the rest of Obama's inner circle cooked up a BS story about a video and continued to push it to the media and to (at least one) dead American's family members when they knew it wasn't true, all because they were concerned about how the truth would reflect on Pres. Obama as the election approached.
We discussed this a couple of months ago. Obama pushed that lie far more than anyone from the State Dept. To this day no one can find a documented instance of HRC making a false statement about the video. The only undocumented instance of a false statement was in a private conversation at what amounted to a funeral, which as horrible as it sounds probably wasn't politically motivated.
Even Susan Rice's talking points concede that the attack was carried out by extremists with heavy weapons. Is there really that much to be gained by saying there was a video protest preceding an attack by extremists with heavy weapons versus just an attack by extremists with heavy weapons?

Also, from "Hard Choices": “It [The video] was unquestionably inciting the region and triggering protests all over, so it would have been strange not to consider, as days of protests unfolded, that it might have had the same effect here, too,"Clinton wrote. "That's just common sense."

No, it isn't true. None of the violence ANY of the embassies was because of that stupid fu**ing video. You can be obtuse and parse it all you want. She lied and continues to lie to this day about the whole affair.
