Next Years Lineup

Lets all keep in mind that Surber for the betterment of the team bulked up for 2 years at HWT. Using the term 'bulked up" probably doesn't give justice to the fact that he was still very undersized at HWT and was a terrible fit for him style wise. Then unexpectedly, after the AJ departure, cut down to his natural weight at 197. Then got hurt early on at CKLV and wrestled injured the rest of the season. I don't think we have seen what Surber is truly capable of when fully healthy. He is a strong competitor and shows a lot of heart on the mat. Yes, there are health concerns with him staying healthy, but I would prefer to see him go and Merrill get the RS for future points.

Edit: I just fact check my own memory and it says on wrestlestat that he only wrestled 1 season at HWT. So the 22-23 season was his first at 197 where he went 21-10 and was R16 at NCAA's. Was he healthy this season?

Crystal Ball - Oklahoma State

Thought this was worth starting another discussion (apologies if excessive and obviously feel free to merge into "Next Years Line Up")

He has Oklahoma State 3rd with 83 points. Willie's Crystal Ball points by place so while it does bake in bonus, it's a conservative estimate. For example, Dustin Plott scores 15 for getting 3rd (1.5 total bonus) But if he records a tech and 2 majors on his way to 3rd, he's at 17.

He has

Spratley 5
Hughes R12
Jamison R12
Young R12
Travis 0-2 or 1-2 (he only awards if he has R16, aka winning 2 matches at least)
Amine 6
Hamiti 3
Plott 3
Surber 0-2 or 1-2 (like Travis)
Hendrickson 2

IMO these are pretty bearish if anything. Amine has placed 4th twice in deeper 165s and I believe will be rejuvenated. I think giving 3 R12 from 133 to 149 is kind of hedging for one AA in that group (since thats 12 points awarded so that is 2 lower AAs or 1 mid AA) so I actually don't think that's an odd projection (even though it looks weird)

Big thing I am shocked by is predicting the eventual 197 starter to not be R16 when it's either a guy who has been R16 and beaten Elam and has given Buchanan all he wanted (Surber) or is a super college ready stud freshman (Merrill) and they're getting their butts beat by David Taylor all day and night.

Was that poem meant as comedy? I'm still laughing at the absurdity of it.
I don't believe you are laughing; you're a serious man and intentionally pulverizing human bodies, both dead and alive, is not something to laugh about. Although I do agree it is absurd for the journalist to mourn the nightmares of the IDF soldier and not the people he crushed.

Well there you go: one rape means systematic rape as a weapon of war. You said one rape means systematic rape and you found where one was verified without showing the verification. That proves it: Hamas is filled with monsters - one, at least - that rape during combat. This isn't the verified rape where the accuser eventually said he didn't really see it, is it? The UN Commission looked at thousands of pictures and videos - *thousands*! - but didn't find any that verified a rape. But I bow before your greatness. You said one was all it takes for it to be systematic and one was verified without showing us the verification. You win! And for the third time I commend you for your ability to deflect and continue to deflect until the end of time.
Another day, more tone-deaf floundering. The amount of rape, on top of the murder of so many innocents, only matters to the morally twisted like yourself.

I'm actually grinning now with satisfaction at the thought that every one of those demons that invaded from Gaza on Oct 7 have joined their brothers in hell. Some rapists, some murderers, many both, all burning.

Election 2024: Trump vs Kamala

I voted yesterday. I've been voting during the early voting period in Texas for over 20 years. Normally where I go they had ten machines and I've never had to wait for more than 2 people in front of me. Yesterday there was a line with about 40 people in front of me and they had 30 machines that had a person at each machine placing their vote. I asked the lady that was verifying my ID what the turnout had been, she told me it had been crazy busy. Not sure if that means anything but it was different than what I've experienced in the past.
Texas is recording historical voting records. We're gonna keep Texas, Texas, as Ted exclaims. Colon's a "Nanshee" boy. 😁
