You can bring back one dead musician.

From the drummer in me, I'd say Buddy Rich. Not many others that have picked up the sticks that have had the chops that Buddy did. There's some absolutely amazing drummers out there now, folks like Peart, Colaiuta, Mangini, but Buddy was a level above everyone.

If I was looking for a non-drummer, probably throw in Joey Ramone.
 
Prince. Although he lived to be 50-something, the guy was an incredible song writing machine, performer and instrumentalist and had so much more music to share with the world.

Freddie Mercury would be a close second. Someone also mentioned original Pink Floyd guitarist Syd Barrett. Good choice.
