deer. We have no pheasants. We have no quail. We have no turkey. But we have a giant pile of dove out here in the Panhandle. The drought has been absolutely devastating to all wildlife out here except dove, which have seemed to thrive.

Ah those little winged cockroaches! grilled with a piece of bacon and jalepeno around them, yum!
Here in north texas they are much better than last year it seems. Not sure why. But I also have a few deer now and then and a couple of coveys of quail on my small area (that dissappear in November). Hope you get to use that fine little 20 guage to exterminate a few of them....

I don't hunt deer or ducks much and am really not too worried about itbut I sure appreciate the offer. I'd just like to see some game again. We did run across a juvenile rooster the other day so the hens have laid and hatched a couple eggs this year at least. It's going to take a few years to rebuild the populations though.
