Republican thought process

Did you hear how Obama has no control over his administration?
Did you hear how everyone but Hilary gets fired for personal e-mails?
Did you hear about Sydney Leathers?

Ohhhh...now I get it. This is a deflection thread. Gotcha, Sys, carry on. You probably need to start about a half dozen additional threads.

I have Sys on ignore, but I like seeing his threads go down the drain, so I usually look in for the responses.

Science!:

Katha Pollitt writes in The Nation:
Who has abortions? For most of human history, the answer was obvious: women have abortions. Girls have abortions. Not any more. People have abortions. Patients have abortions. Men have abortions. "We must acknowledge and come to terms with the implicit cissexism in assuming that only women have abortions," wrote feminist activist Lauren Rankin in July 2013 in truthout.com. She went on to criticize as exclusionary slogans like "the War on Women" and "Stand with Texas Women."

Re: Republican glass jaw

I get it. Thanks, guys. I've learned a lesson here and I'm all in.

Obama's ruining the economy! He's KILLING BABIES BY THE THOUSAND and we should be kicking ass in Iraq, but he's too busy taking our guns. Wookie.

I may have missed something, but that's a helluva start.

How does everyone feel about Republican US Senators writing a letter pandering to the Ayatollah?

If Democrats had done this under Bush they would be branded as traitors and mass impeached.

In terms of dereliction of duty this ranks up there with Bush ignoring the 8-6-2001 warning of terrorists preparing to use aircraft to attack the United States.

At least half a dozen GOP presidential candidates have signed on to the letter to the Ayatollah--including Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal. Republicans currying favor with the leadership of Iran to undermine the US Commander in Chief cannot not be trusted to govern this country and keep us safe from terrorism IMO.

Thank God we have Obama, who killed bin Laden, for Commander in Chief.

Democrats have done plenty worse than writing a letter. Remember Nancy Pelosi visiting Syria and meeting with Assad about foreign policy. Last I looked that is the responsibility of the Secretary of State.

Ted Kennedy offered to help the KGB in order to defeat President Reagan in 1984 and the idiot Chris Matthews called a letter seditious. What a bunch of hypocrites

All the Senators did in pen an op-ed piece and address to the Iran's leader. No different than people do every day at the NYT and Wall Street Journal.

US Senators sworn to preserve protect and defend sending letter to our enemy with Americans in harm's way all over the middle east? Same as a letter to the editor?

Gotcha..

Hunter if these were Democrats under Reagan doing this, you'd still defend it as a letter to the editor?

The New York Daily News, most conservative daily in America, called them TRAITORS on page 1...

But Hunter defends it...

Sad, but

Predictable

What ever happened to the party of Ronald Reagan??

All the Senators did was tell the Iranians and the Obama Administration that any deal finalized (a de facto treaty) has to get ratified in the Senate per the Constitution. If it's implemented via Executive Order/Memorandum or through the UN it can be reversed by a subsequent administration via EO/memorandum.

What does Cup say about Obama operatives being in Israel working to defeat Bibi? Seems like that is messing with the internal politics of a sovereign nation.

Obama said America should not invite a foreign leader to address Congress in the run up to an Election. But Boehner did it anyway, trying to undermine the Obama presidency, the GOP's stated goal since Jan. 20, 2009.

That backfired on Bibi. And Boehner.

Israelis have had a belly full of Bibi. He can't blame his probable loss on Obama or America. He high strutted in here against advice of Obama and it blew up in his face.

The GOP is frustrated they can't win a presidential election. They're addicted to power. So instead of dutifully performing their role as the Loyal Minority, they panic and undermine not just Obama, but the US Presidency itself.

The NY Daily News had it right.

Israelis are ready for new leadership.

Oh really seems like he did ok and got reelected. All he does is win and that is a big deal to Obama right? I wonder what world power that is our ally Obama and this administration will turn on next for not doing what this POWER HUNGRY administration tells them to? But hey lets give nukes to a guy who wants to destroy Israel and take the terrorist group who have launched missals into Israel causing conflicts off the terrorist list. Oh yea Obama really helping world peace out.

Most conflicts that come back to bite America in the ass are them meddling in the Middle East affairs. Seems like Obama is ready to go down the same rabbit hole as those before him.

He is certainly in the running for 2015 but he already won the Nostradamus award in 2014 for his mid-term election predictions and previously for his prediction of the death of the Republican party.

Since President Obama has taken office the Republican Party now has more people in elected office than anytime in modern history. The Republican party should throw President Obama a thank you party when he leaves office.

Swing and a miss. Looks like the only one who got backfired on was your beloved racist-in-chief.

Oh, did you see where Michelle's mother was worried about Barack being biracial and absolutely scared to death Michelle would marry a white man? That came from the NY Daily News too.

Don't forget Obama For America, errr Organizing for America. They sent a crew of operatives to Israel to, you know, NOT interfere in the Israeli elections like Pres. O. was so insistent he would get in the middle of. So OFA ate a big fat one too.

He may have but who was the first president to ignore a warning of this magnitude regarding bin laden? Get off your effing liberal high horse and open your damn eyes and ears. You don't want to and that's your issue.

Nah -- you gotta dust off the old Iran-Contra tapes. Ollie North was pretty articulate about OBL's threat back in 87ish.
