If we want China to become the largest economy and the world's leading Superpower, pushing EVs makes perfect sense.
If you want to know the effect of cold on batteries I have a good example. I had a load of groceries and forgot to take my keys and key fob out of the door and they were exposed to the elements overnight.
I couldn't get into my vehicle because the fob wouldn't work at all. Had to warm it over a burner on the stove before it would work.
