The scoring confusion and subsequent rash of replays in terrible for the sport IMO.

Those who follow it closely are confused and frustrated. Certainly new fans or potential fans would find it very hard to begin to follow the sport.

I agree completely and have no horse in the race and it may have ended with a Ruth victory but Jon Reader was absolutely screwed in his match with Ruth.
In the mean time Foster dec. Richard Perry 11-3 in consolations.

In a replay of their first round match Clayton Foster will meet Chris Perry. Foster won over Reader with a 10-0 tf and Perry dec. Deron Winn 12-3.

Foster Dec Perry 7_2 for third.

86kg Jake Herbert over Ed Ruth 13-2 and 10-2 for the title.
57kg James Green wins both matches against Dustin Schlatter for the title.
Tervel Dlagnev and Zach Rey are 1-1 and coming up next for the rubber match.

Jon Morrison dec.Kyle Hutter 4-0 and is in the semis against Kendrick Maple. As indicated Coleman has a bye as Joey McKenna did not make weight and will wrestle the winner of Dennis/Lazor.

Joey McKenna who did not make weight at 61kg against Scott loses to Jordan Oliver at 65kg 10-0 tf. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Tyler Caldwell with a tf 12-2 score against Anthony Valencia and will face David Taylor in the semis.

Kendrick Maple has a 11-0 tf on Jon Morrison on basis of a takedown, penalty point and 4 turns.
Coleman Scott in a shocker loses to Daniel Dennis 8-6. Dennis hit a beautiful footsweep earl in the first after Coleman got the first takedown. Dennis got a takedown anda gut wrench for an 8-2 lead in the 2nd and Coleman finished with two takedowns but he would have had to have another takedown and back points to dec. Dennis because of the 4 point move and did not have enough time. Dennis is looking good.

oliver v. Stieber rematch coming up shortly as both are in the finals of the 65kg. Oliver dec. Kennedy 2-2 on basis of a takedown.

A little vindication for Oliver. He dec. Stieber 8-5 on basis of three takedowns and a turn. He was also in on another takedown which Stieber used a head pinch to score two back points.

Best two out of three finals start at 5PM. Here are finals matchups
61kg Reese Humphrey v. Daniel Dennis
65kg Brent Metcalf v. Jordan Oliver
74kg Jordan Burroughs v. Kyle Dake
97kg Kyle Snider v. Jake Varner

In a battle for third place Coleman Scott out-lasted Jon Morrison 6-4. Really closer than that as a push out for Scott was challenged by Morrison and lost which gave Coleman the extra point. It was 2-0 Morrison at the end of the first period.

Metcalf over Oliver 9-4. Oliver scored a 4 pointer late but Metcalf had two takedowns, a turn and two stalling points to win. Have to say from my point of view Oliver was stalling as he used a strategy of straight arm pushes to keep Metcalf at bay and the referee put him on the shot clock twice. Burroughs trailed Dake 2-1 after first period and in the second Dake initiated a throw on the edge which officials say Burroughs converted to a four point score. In this instance I might have given Burroughs the pushout or a 2 point takedown but I did not see a feet to back move by Burroughs. Snyder won 4-1 over Varner.

Reese Humphrey had a 12-1 tech fall over Dennis. Burroughs won the Dake match 6-3 and in my humble opinion this is the only weight where the score could be reversed in the second match.

Burroughs 14-4 over Dake in second match for title and Kyle Snyder dec. Varner again 3-0for the title. Oliver/Metcalf coming up.

Metcalf masters Oliver 7-0. Oliver never really in the match as Metcalf had two takedowns, two pushouts and a penalty point. Oliver never came close to scoring.
